Hello my friends! i'm so sorry for the delay in sending out my reports, but i had a much needed rest and rejuvenation! I have a lot to tell u all. I'll start with the sad stuff. We have lost two very important ferrets over the last few weeks. Nermal was 1st to cross the Rainbow Bridge and it was sudden. He was a very popular shelter kid that everyone loved. He leaves behind his favorite mommie, Sue. He wants me to tell her that he loves her very much and he is watching over her. he's touched that she talks about him so much with Dee and Phil (her foster kids). We then lost Rosie. She was a dear little girl with a shady past. Then Bonnie & Nigel (her mommie and daddy) came into her life, adopted her brother, sister and her. they gave Rosie a terrific life and loved her like she was the most special little girl in the world. Rosie went fast of a rare liver cancer. She wanted me to tell her mommie and daddy that she was so glad to have had the time with them and is playing with Phreddie up here. Both of them are watching over their special mom and dad. Over the last few weeks, the shelter has adopted out an astonishing amount of ferrets! We're all so happy! Bronte & Avery, Theodore, Pogue (one of mommie's fav's), Sunshine, Archie, Chubby & Logan AND......drum roll pweese!!!! ..... the pair the shelter has had for a year and a half......BODDINGTION & GINGER!!!!!! All kids are doing well in their new homes and are finally happy, safe and totally loved. A couple of weeks ago the shelter brought in Darwina. She is a softie. She is an older girl with a lot of medical problems and we're waiting for her to become stronger before proceeding with surgery. She is between 5 and 6 years old and just so lovable. The shelter also took in Reggie, a sweet 2 year old guy. he's been on the quiet side and has had some black tarry poops so he's going to the vet this week. Bubble & Squeek came in as unwanted family pets. They are a year old and very cute. They are a bit shy, but in time they will come out of their shell. Clute came to the shelter this week as well. he is 7 months old, but due to lack of nutrition, he looks more like a 4 month old. He still has his "baby fur" and is very thin. he was a little reserved at first, but loves to bounce around with our resident "big boy" Blarney. Don't forget our Ferret Frolic next weekend!
