Here's a report on the state-of-the-residents at The Ferret And Dove Sanctuary, Inc. from director Susie Lee At the top of the news, Buckaroo Babyface Ferret(formerly known as Buckaroo Bulldogface before his dental surgery to remove the two protruding lower canines which kept him from eating well) has entered into an engagement with Phyllis The Fair Ferret and they're living together at her place in the first ferret play-room to see how he likes being a spouse. For her part, Phyllis The Fair enjoys very much having an especially gentle-natured boy-ferret her own (5 year-old) age to take care of. For his part, Buckaroo Babyface is simply relieved not to have the two-pound weight of his former bachlor-buddy, Mr. Izod DEWLitely, slumped atop of him when they're trying to sleep in such a way that it made poor Buckaroo gasp for air. It appears Phyllis The Fair is much more considerate than Izod DewLitely was. In other news, our latest rescued ferret, found wandering on the other side of town by a kindly family who could not keep him, we have Gilligan-Little-Buddy, who seems to answer to both this and to plain old "Buddy" as well, is a thin albino ferret who had a red-bean-sized growth removed from over his left eye yesterday at the vet's which was found to be benign. Gilligan-Little-Buddy Ferret is rapidly recovering, eating very well, active and alert, estimated to be already over a year old, due to dentition, but undersized...the smallest adult male domestic ferret we've yet seen at 2/3rds of a pound and just ten inches long from nose to tail-tip. Pictures will be on the web-page just as soon as we can afford another $3.98 camera! :) And That's the News!
