Garage sale to benefit Little Dudes Ferret Ranch on August 14 and 15 during Alpine Days in North Bend, Washington. Alpine Days is a small festival held each year so come check it out and then stop by the "ranch" and meet all the shelter kids, help out, donate, buy, etc. (email me for directions). We need to purchase another Quality Cage due to an explosion of ferret intakes recently and are running out of room. If you follow the newbies when they arrive at the ranch, we post their individual stories and some are depressed, one is still battling pneumonia after a month, the lymphoma/jaundiced girl (who may not have lymphoma after all since she is responding well to the meds) and the little boy who was being starved to death and won't eat anything but chicken gravy. One of the more recent rescues is Kami, who was surrrendered to us from a woman who took her away from a group who used her to train hunting dogs in Marysville (we are trying to find out who they are). She had a growth removed from her foot and has an enlarged spleen so we are going to watch her for awhile to be sure she doesn't have any other underlying health problems as a result of her past suffering. Of course, health care isn't cheap even with the shelter discount so we need money!!! MICHELLE, THANK YOU - YOUR DONATION EACH MONTH HAS HELPED TO KEEP US GOING. I am also set up to take orders for prints of the latest ferret dragon by Arylkia. You can order them on the shopping page of our website. More artwork and T-shirts are coming and I will announce them as they become available. We think you will really, really like what we have commissioned next.
