We are a "bit overwhelmed" with the propect of 24 ferret spays which need to be completed before OCTOBER 31st or possibly sooner. The 24 UVA medical reserch girls, which are 14 weeks to 17 weeks, have had their distemper vaccines, but they do still need to be spayed and have ADV tests before we are comfortable with their adoption. We have a deal with our vet where he is charging $30.00 per spay, and so we are charging the adopters $80.00 for a single female or $100.00 for a pair. This adoption feed includes the spay fee. We are adding a stipulation to our adoption contract that each girls we adopt out MUST be so spayed before Christmas. If they do not wish to bring their UVA girls back to Richmond, VA. for Dr Mike to spay, they must show proof that these girls are being spayed. I know that I'm probably farting in the wind, but I am going to hound these folks to provide spay-proff- Or I'll go on a rampage, If they have a good, ferret-knowledgeable vet who is willing to spay, we'll waive the spay fee and the adoption fee would be $50.00 Let me know if this works for you and your friends.
