Bob Church has posted on the topic of second-hand smoke several times in the past. Go to the FML archives and search for "second-hand smoke" -- or just go to FML issue 3190 (which has a good scientific reference on the dangers of second-hand smoke in ferrets). You should clean the room(s) floor to ceiling where your ferrets are kept. Scrub the walls, floors -- every surface. Then smoke outside -- all the time. Second-hand smoke is very bad for ferrets (and other living things). I hope you are able to quit smoking at some time in the future. I quit nearly 12 years ago and it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself.
