Hello everyone, It's the end of an era for me. After eight and a half years of Ferret ownership, I am Ferret-less as of yesterday. Rosie, my first Ferret (and last), passed away yesterday May 31st at 2:52 pm. She out lived all other Ferrets by a year and a half. Shiva passed in September 91, Maxie in Mary 2002, Tony June 2002 and Sammi in November 2002. Rosie was a fighter. She suffered from Adrenaline Disease, her first surgery was August 2001 and her second was October 2002. Shortly after she started suffering from Insulinoma and loss of hormones. Lately her breathing became strained. She was then diagnosed with an enlarged heart and spleen, as well as, Lymphoma. I've had a year and a half to prepare for her passing; it's still not easy to deal with. About a year or so ago someone posted on the FML, a link to a web site for cremation boxes. The lady was an artist and painted the boxes with the pets likeness and their favorite theme. I had the link saved, but about a year ago my computer crashed and I lost everything. If anyone still has the link or any links similar, could you please email it to me? I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the Ferret books that David Doyle and I wrote years ago at this point. I would like to re-write them and add to them or maybe do something entirely different. I was hoping that at least Rosie would have seen one "legal" day in this rotten state. But it never happened. That breaks my heart. Thanks in advance for forwarding any links you might have. Sincerely Lisa Mancilla [Posted in FML issue 4531]
