Hi all, Though it has been about two weeks since I last posted about the Pregnant Canadian Rescue Ferret I took in, I wanted to give everyone an update. We have to date lost 4 babies but the other 14 between the two moms are doing great. I had to put the surviving 6 babies from the one mom in with two other mom's that were more than happy to take them. The one mom lost her milk and was unable to nurse a litter of 10. The babies were nestled in with their new mommies and happily drinking their milk this morning when I left for work. I have received a lot of emails concerning what I intend to do with the moms and the babies. The moms are already adopted and will go to their new home in Missouri when the babies are old enough. The babies will be available for adoption by Mid to Late August. The adoption fee is $125 with a $25 rebate when they are altered. They all look extremely healthy and look to be albino, sable, silver, cinnamon, chocolate and one possible black or dark sable and a possible mitt. Though color should not really matter since they all have wonderful personalities. I handle all the babies everyday to ensure good temperments. They are not early alters. I am still looking for homes. I have recieved a lot of inquiries but other than the moms, the babies are all still available. They are rescue babies and I would like them to find new homes before I even consider placing my own private breedings. I am a rescue first and therefore would like to see them go to new homes. So if anyone is interested, please let me know. You can email me off line at [log in to unmask] I do have pictures available for anyone that would like to see them. Though I am not the best photographer, they will give you an idea of what they may look like. They all look like they will be good sized females and males. I have 8 females and 5 males available. So please if anyone is looking for a younger ferret, let me know. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Like many of you, i didn't want to go back to work, especially not on a Tuesday but I gotta earn money for the furry kids. They eat before I do.
