I have been adopted by my fifth ferret! He pretty much stole my heart the moment I saw him, and has everything to do with his determination. I found this little guy while looking for a new ferret for my niece. She, my oldest sister and the whole family was devastated Memorial Day when the awoke to find their second fuzzy ( Possum Piglet ) deceased. He was only 11 months old and wasn't having any problems. Any way......during this adventure to find her a new, very loving fuzzy; I ran across this little guy in the pet store. The store owners think someone had him out of the cage and dropped him !! They were looking to find someone who would be willing to take care of this little guy and give him the love and attention he deserves. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow eve to be checked to see what exactly might be wrong, and what my options will be to help this little guy out. It kind of looks like, he might have broke his hind hips or has a spinal injury. Wasn't someone just posting about those little wheel like harnesses that they use on dogs when they've had a spinal injury??? If so I would like to get some info on this. If anyone has had any issues with this type of injury PLEASE help me out. I want to make his live as enjoyable as possible. What scares me the most is getting attached to him....( to late for that).......and him passing away due to complications. Any suggestions will be appreciated greatly. I have always wanted to get a ferret from a shelter but can't since there aren't any even close to where I live.... but they (ferrets in need) seem to find me first. Thanks, Missy and her crew Niko, Buster, Bitsy, Kiesha and my newbie (no name yet) [Posted in FML issue 4533]
