Hello my dear friends. It's been crazy as usual this week and i hope you all are well! Little Disco was adopted and went into a great home. Kaie, our resident alchie and raw meat monger went to a home with his new best friend, Scarlet (the monster who ate the rubber boob a couple of weeks ago). Everyone at the shelter was shocked at how well Kaie and Scarlet got along and we're all happy that they went to a home together. Now for the crazy parts..... Pogue is not doing so well. He's the kid that has the same fungus that killed people who opened up King Tut's Tomb. i'm hoping it's just his meds, but mommie and the other volunteers are very worried. the shelter took in more kids this week. Sunshine came from a Toronto animal control. she was in HEAT BIG TIME. She was far too anemic to be spayed at that point and thankfully the shelter had some intact males to help with the "job" of bringing her out of heat. Moka came to us via the SPCA. There was a removal of over 300 exotic animals a few weeks ago in Barrie and while the SPCA was able to find homes for the other two "kids" Moka came to us. He is doing well, but a little shy around people. not to worry though, mommie is looking forward to sharing her kisses with him! There are now 12 run groups at the shelter and little Quigley is still "down under" in mommie's room. When this kid came to the shelter, he weighed a mere 785 grams! He's now up to over 1000 grams in LESS than 2 weeks! WAY TO GO KID! Ken and Barbie moved to their forever "foster" home on Wednesday. mommie is going to miss them, but knows they will be spoiled so much. She always wished for a forever home for her "dolls" and now they have one! all my love, Harley "Bug" [Posted in FML issue 4507]
