Okay, we are in Spring or Autumn, depending on location. What does your ferret (do your ferrets) think of it? The FML needs some funny ferret stories. It's been almost all serious stuff and money garnering recently. --- We are beta testing a new food and the manufacturer accidently made it too small in size. Poor Sherman was intrigued by the smell and wanted to try it but it was just too small to bite right. He stood at the plate cussing: " Braggghhhhp! Braggghhhh. Bragghhhh. Bragghhhhp!" We got some into him later by wetting it down but the texture didn't seem to be a favorite of his. --- Mornie just came in and I asked her (using words she knows), "What the sniffs out?" She ran over to the screen door and inhaled a big whiff then danced backwards for about 5 feet, finishing with some pronging. --- Did I ever tell you that when Sherman had his surgery Whizbang took her very favorite thing in the world and left it at the barrier outside the back bathroom which we use for a recovery room? Sherman is very, very happy without adrenals now. It took some adjusting to get his meds right and some nights he is bad about eating them. He seems to have decided that he is thin ferret and actually is starting to have the right zoomy activity level for his age. His IBD has also become milder recently, too, so that is great. Talk about scruffy looking! Between his years on steroids and the fur loss when his right adrenal had hyperplasia (The left came out due to a vascular malformation.) he has bare strips. Most of his head top is bald. The back of his neck is bald. He has chevrons of baldness on each side, and he is bald over his spinal column. His skin is finally starting to bounce back after being larger for when he had all that steroid fat so he doesn't have leg and belly wattles now. With his short tail he moves like a bear. He's the mildest and happiest we've ever seen him in recent weeks. Mr. Play-play-play boy! [Posted in FML issue 4496]
