Charges dropped in ferret death A judge has dismissed an animal abuse charge against a traveler from New York who allegedly beat a ferret and flushed it down a toilet at Lambert Field last year. BIG] St. Louis County Associate Circuit Judge Michael Burton threw out the misdemeanor abuse case against Stefan Albrecht,37, of Yonkers. The ruling -- dismissal for lack of evidence -- was made Monday after a prosecutor made an opening statement in the case. Authorities said the state lacked the body of the ferret or any physical evidence to corroborate statements Albrecht allegedly made to airline personnel at the time the ferret disappeared....
