Hi y'all! Guess what?! My husband and I went to a mall in Hachinohe, Japan today and went to the biggest pet store in the region. Naturally, the first thing we looked for was ferrets. I am very happy to report that they only had one tiny baby who was very well kept. Her cage was cozy and immaculately clean. After asking tons of questions through an interpreter, the girl at the pet shop let us hold the ferret. To our surprise, she was very husky! I mean, really! This ferret had the body of a small puppy: pudgy but muscular. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right but my husband and I wondered if maybe this ferret was bred differently and maybe would live longer? I thought ferrets in Japan were imported from the States but I didn't see any Marshall Farms tattoos. Any ideas? Anyhow, just thought you'd all like to know that the Japanese treat weeznuts very well :) Suzette [Moderator's note: I'd estimate 50 people subscribe to the FML from Japan. Pretty popular there.
