I know you said no wire ramps, Jenny, but this is what I did when I needed a longer ramp than I could find for sale anywhere. I went to Home Depot and bought a length of coated wire shelving (found in the closet organizing section) and a carpeted doormat. I cut the wire shelving to the length I needed (I left it wide, since I had room where it was going), then cut a chunk of doormat to fit the piece of shelving. I used wire to attach the doormat to the shelving in a few places and then used more wire to attach the ramp to the levels it needed to go between. You could probably use regular cage clips for this as well. It's a very inexpensive solution, and it worked great. The carpeted doormat could be cleaned with soapy water or a carpet cleaner.
