Rosie is still unable to use her hind end. She's in a 24x24 cage with
blankets, newspaper on the bottom, and a food and water dish...I'm having
to change the newspaper everytime she goes potty...well since she cant
get in a litter box...She just looks so pitiful dragging that butt with
her back legs curled underneath. Does anyone have any suggestions to
what I can do to help her out a little bit...maybe tell me what exactly
causes hind-end weakness, and how her recovery can be speeded up...Her
poops are a mixture of firm, and almost a seedy texture. She is getting
.25ccs of pred 2x daily and .5cc's of baytril once a day. She had
diarreah (almost black/tarry) two friday's ago..around the 8th, and she
went to the vets tuesday-thursday(she stumbled a tiny bit), and came home
with hind-end weakness, friday she could use her back legs a little bit,
but now she doesnt use them...but when she drags herself, you can see her
little feet wiggle like she wants to use them. I picked up her back end,
and let her go where she wanted... and she zoomed around the room :)
