Vicki S. lives in southeast Texas and has 4 ferrets she had opened her heart and home to. Three are middle aged ferrets which had spent their last year living in a cage in a closet. She has given these guys a home of warmth and love plus she has taught them to do tricks, which has added joy to their lives as they have jobs and get all that attention. Unfortunately, Tickle developed adrenal disease, had one gland removed, but now needs the other done. He is losing weight and fur and is going downhill. Vicki is very distraught as she now is trapped between a rock and a hard place... to save her fuzzy or the mortgage payment. Last year her husband had an accident at work, broke his neck, and last week had another surger.y He is still on workman's comp. Right now she can't afford Tickle's surgery because of limited income. She's uncomfortable asking for help but knows this is the only way to help Tickle. She is in the Houston area but Vicki Montgomery has graciously offered to transport little Tickle to Dallas where the surgery is far more economical if we can raise enough for it. (2 different Vickies here) If anyone would like to help, it sure would be appreciated by sending a donation to Dr Jerry Murray (Yes, THE Dr Murray) at the Animal Clinic of Farmer's Branch, 14021 Denton Dr, Dallas, TX 75234 memo showing "For pending surgery -- Tickle Smith or FLC". Should it turn out Tickle can not have surgery and you would like your money returned, we will be happy to do so and still thank you for trying to help. If on the other hand he is unable to have surgery and you would want your donation to be used by 2 rescues Tricks and Treats or through the Ferret Lover's Club in Dallas there are 5 other ferrets awaiting surgery and/or treatments with even more on medication.
