Thank you for your article. I feel the same way, and could not have said it better. Guttersniping, and judgmental statements are best left for those who do not have ferrets in their hearts! Let us try to be as supportive and caring to each other as our fuzzies are. (Psycho Sid the mad attacker not withstanding). A little nip here and there, but out of concern or playfulness...not to make others feel badly. That is counterproductive to the learning process, and defense mechanisms fly into place! I thought the FML was to share, to learn, to educate, and I find that having the knowledge and caring, and concern for what-ever we are going through with our fuzzies incredibly supportive. We all know that our fuzzies have a myriad of health issues, and it's grand to be able to pick the brains of many. It is also a warm blanket to wrap around ourselves when we have lost a treasured soul, to anguish, and, to cry with us over our loss. I have cried buckets on the posts for ferrets moms and dads who's babes have gone over the Rainbow Bridge.I have received heartfelt cards from "strangers" when we have lost one of our perfect beings that touched me deeply. The people on the FML showed much more empathy than close friends and family because we ARE soul-stuck (new word) to our ferrets! We understand! Let us all try to 'be there' for one another!
