No I won't argue nor agree with the feral cat issue any more , what was said is now tucked into archive files . Good luck with tha Alley cat program , if it saves just one life then it's a good thing. That being said, the issue of ferret ownership has struck the "jaged reef of politics" where so many good ideas sink. Too bad , Pat you have spent so much of your time and personal income on this issue that I applaude you for your efforts. So can a ferret be kept if someone were to get a dangerous animal permit like those issued to herpitologist granting them permission to have or own a venomous or otherwise dangerous animal????? I have known non-science minded (couldn't think of the right term to us here) people who have cobras and have a permit to keep them . One of which never told me it was a cobra when he pulled it from the habitat it was justr a brown snake but when he put it on the floor and the ribs pushed outward and made that distinctive hood I knew, and responded like anyone else , RUN!!! Haven't been back since, though he did get bit latter on and was in the ER. Never the less can we show we have a secure cage and heavy leather gloves and face sheilds so we can control these beasts, (Wink Wink) then couldn't we get a permit ???? Just something to think about when waiting those long hours in your docs office ... all the best Mark J., Peta S Bethke., Maximillion (The Chihuahua) & Zeus (The Weasel) [Posted in FML issue 4259]
