Hi, thanks for all responses so far about poor Salma and her being possibly Adrenal at the young age of 2! We really could use some help of experienced people... I really don't understand why some people could see the pictures I put online while others couldnt even access the site, but sorry for the inconvenience! I saved the same page someplace else and added NEW PHOTOS from Salma taken today, showing more details for those who have experience with Adrenal to see if you think this might be IT??!!! If you guys could PLEASE take a look and tell me what you think then I'll reallly REALLY appreciate it! http://www.bg.bib.de/~bbmf2ape/adrenalornot.html Hope everyone can see it now, if not then I can send the photos by mail too... I really don't know what to think or to DO! I just canceled the operation from next Friday (to open Salma up and "see if she has Adrenal"--since it's the only way to really know... and if so remove it--based on the only symptoms of her messed up fur and possible "excessive-toy-protecting-behaviour"...). I'll postpone the surgery until I can be a bit more sure that her hair is not simply growing extra slow this time (???!) or to see if (like someone from FML suggested) it might actually be some ALLERGY instead of Adrenal?!! Any thoughts on this? Anyone experienced with ALLERGIC FERRETS out there?!!! I'm really worried and just wanna do the right thing! I don't wanna risk her life waiting to operate until it's too big NOR do I want to rush and operate risking her life with the OP and making her suffer when it could be that it is something else, you know! I trust this vet and he's one of the only/the best real "ferrets specialists" of the area, but he didn't even mention the possibility of alergies, from his experience loss of hair or crappy hair then it's probably Adrenal and the only way to know is to open her up... I don't know what to do or to think! Too many "WHAT IFS" you know! What if it's stress or allergies or fungus or food or an invisible flea???!!! I'll get myself and ulcer this way... Thanks again, Chris, Logan, Leeloo and Salma (can it be that I'm not as sick as people think???!) [Posted in FML issue 4245]
