Hey! Wanna join a great ferret club?, The Ferret Lovers Club of Texas is recruiting members. The FLC is not a shelter, but we do take in ferrets in cases of an emergency. We try to match people wanting to adopt with those having to give up a ferret. We cannot guarantee the homes but we make every effort to find them permanent homes by discussing interests, checking knowledge and the desire for ferrets. If you want to adopt a ferret or find a new home for yours or have found a ferret, please call the hotline at (972) 381-0709 and leave a message or go to the Contacts page of our Website www.texasferret.org and email any of the officers. The Ferret Lovers Club of Texas was formed to provide an educational, informational, and social environment for Texas ferret owners to exchange information about ferret ownership, ferret health care, and other ferret related issues. We have monthly meetings to discuss business of the club and a wide variety of ferret topics. Our last meeting on August 10th was about ferret first aid kits. The club has several missions: - Information dissemination that is ferret related to the general public, government officials, and potential ferret owners at pet stores, feed stores, veterinary clinics, and other sites. - Working toward legalization of ferrets in specific cities and townships the state of Texas - Support of ferret welfare in the State of Texas through time and monetary donations. - Availability of ferret "fun & educational meetings. - Providing an educational environment for members through our Website. I'm the membership coordinator, so if you have a question please feel free to email me.
