This is in response to Minta Taylor's request for tips on descenting cat urine odors from carpeting. (Works for ferret aroma, too. I know. I tried it.) My cat was once inadvertenrly shut in an upstairs bedroom for over 24 hours and her too fragrant calling card hit me in the face when I opened the door to release her. At a local pet store I bought a bottle of enzyme treatment called 'Pet Odor & Stain Eliminator' by Unique Manufacturing & Marketing, Inc., 5778 Lamar, Arvada, CO 80002. Phone number: 1-800-221-3259. This stuff works! I mixed the solution with water, sprayed it generously on the soiled carpet and covered the area with a damp towel for 24 hours. When I removed the towel, the odor was gone and hasn't returned since. Cost to me was $6.98. Good luck, Minta! Cordially, Greta Hoisington [Posted in FML issue 4134]
