Although I haven't been to the DNA site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dna-usa/ due to trouble accessing it, I have been told already by someone I trust (just hours after hearing of this site) of a case in which it is being used to libel someone who is an absolutely wonderful ferret person -- someone who runs a shelter (an inspected one) and also helps organize numerous educations activities to help others help ferrets: exemplary ferret person. Apparently, the site does not have verification done. There may be other wonderful and innocent people hurt by it so: It turns out that this site is apparently in direct violation of at least three aspects of the use agreement: http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ including: >You agree to not use the Service to: >a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any >Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, >tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of >another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise >objectionable; ... >and >l. "stalk" or otherwise harass another; or >m. collect or store personal data about other users. If another abuse is found: List owner: <[log in to unmask]> and if that doesn't work: http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/groups/cgi_abuse Yahoo! If you find someone you know in there who is wonderful to animals let the person know and pass along this mail so that action can be taken. [Posted in FML issue 4137]
