Hello everyone...I'm back. Tired, hungry, and needing sleep. My stint as Intensive Care Nurse is coming to a close. My husband IS getting better, even though he won't admit it; he IS able to hold up his head, even though he hardly leaves the bed; and yes herbs did help, even though he calls herbs the equivalent of "smoking the lawn." Calvin and Miss Jazz were good respite help. I'd drop them off in his room before I'd go to the kitchen to "do" dinner. They greatly helped his depression. They both did very well over the winter. They exercised each day from 4 p.m. into the early morning hours, when it was a delight to snuggle them close to do the transfer from drawer to cage. Now they have an outside cage too....and a shock in the a.m. We discovered 7 new additions here out in the barn. (No we are not gonna race in Kentucky this weekend). We have a new momma kitty (really skinny) and her 6 soft tiny babies out in the barn. I always wanted barn cats and I've got 'em and then some. I fed her an easy diet of friskies and set out water and milk tonight. Then it's off to the vet when they seem to be weaned. (I sure hope he gives a group discount). They are 3 lovely soft tabby's; and three soft jet black, so far lol. Then my friend asked me to take his 2 ferrets. One is one year old, and the other is very bonded with my friend and she is 5. I'm a little worried about this one. So now we have 2 teens, and another coming back home in August; an old grumpy clockmaker; my husband the professional patient; 4 ferrets; one sorry little dog; and 7 kitties. Yikes no wonder I'm so tired. Just as long as Tim doesn't get a ferret dinner; the cats don't get barb eque; and my old grumpy clockmaker can make do with cans of chicken gravy lol. This may be fun...or maybe I should reserve a deluxe rubber room.
