You know what started this? The thought with many people that it is safe? The actual pest control companies around. I know that one after another told me it was absolutely safe for small animals when they'd come around and use it in our apartments. The guys would go on to tell me that is really a more "natural sort of thing" and what it was, and how its the best thing to use if you have to use anything around crawling children and small animals. I don't mean one numnut, but several pest control agencies in AL told me this. One apartment maintence guy told the same thing here in TN. We never trusted them only because I know that ferrets would look at the line of dust and snort it like it was the best coke on the face of the earth. I knew that my babies who crawl have stuck their fingers in talcum powder and right away it goes in their mouths like sugar. So those two things made me very uncomfortable... and it still made no sense that a type of "poison" would be "okay". Thank god. Thank god I didn't listen. Ya know? I had no internet back then. So I guess I'm just saying, that there is a lot of misinformation out there even with the "proffessionals", and if they can't get it right, its hard for us regular people to get it right. So I'm willing to bet that the boric acid thing is a very commonly misunderstood chemical. Kinda makes me shudder to wonder how many crawling babies, and small animals have been harmed from them. So to the poster... you were not alone. Roger thanks so much for respondign so quickly. Wolfy Wolfy's site has MOVED to: http://wolfysluv.jacksnet.com/ [Posted in FML issue 4086]
