WooHoo! Hi folks, Jerimiah here! Wowee I am SUCH A GOOD TEACHER! Now you thought RIngo was making progress- well let me tell YOU! Finally the oldsters Biscuit & Gravy have come up in the ferret realm! Shelter Dad spent a whole ( BORING) 2 plus hours tearing all the nicely perfumed papers out in the corners- scrubbing, vaccing etc and made the place like a showroom PHOOEY! Just after that he let the old folks Biscuit & Gravy out for their evening romp- they romp slower so they get a short AM and PM romp here. Well he went upstairs where Mom was trying out a new iron for hammies and had ironed the label to the soleplate. Sometimes I wonder about her! She was not too bright this nite-- anyway Dad went to get the alcohol which of course was in our cupboard. He enters the room and goes OH NO!!!!! What he saw was the clean & shiny floor had an overturned scoop bucket on it- and the kids had scattered the old litter pan remnants in a good 2 foot circle. He was not nearly as excited as they and I was ! He cleaned it up and grumbled all the while then took the bottle and went upstairs. Mom was chuckling later when she came down to put the kids back-- they left the rest of the room intact after getting Dad so upset! The snifflies are getting much better- so on Thursday Mom will be giving all the youngsters there CD boosters - which means we will all get a special treat! BUT I AM SAD!!!!...because. there are no more Ferret Bites here-- the treats were so good after Christmas. Folks sent us raisins & cheerios and ferret bites and TF treats - Mom was mixing stuff up and everynite we got a bedtime snack-- but now it is back to plain old raisins & cheerios- I was really bummed last nite when she doled out the flatter than usual snack.... sigh some days being a shelter ferret is pretty tough! Mom got a chance to post a couple of the new kids on the petfinder board- cuz Dad is really busy with ambulance meetings and has not updated the shelter site-- she says more will go up as the vaccinations get done -- but first the kids need to be old enough for ADV tests-- that is why I don't get to play with them yet! sigh... I am looking forward to it though. AS always Mom has lots of goodies on ebay- http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems &userid=creativekolor&sort=3&page=1&rows=25&since=-1&showpics=1&stab=0 this week to help pay for the lupron shots for our kids (5) and the vaccinations for the new kids now that the spay/ neuter has been done on the kids she posted on petfinder. She sure keeps busy here making good sleepers and such and when she is not busy with that WE KEEP HER BUSY TOO! Aunt Cynthia showed up with 5 wall quilts for the folks to take to the York PA ferret show-- so iffen any of you folks have been looking for these wonderful ferret wall quilts stop by and say Hi to shelter Dad and take a look at them! They are most always very different- that is what the quilt artisty folks say they want - all different like a painting! I just dunno- I think they would make a comfy rug is all! Plan on stopping by in May for our open house ( May 3 12 non - 3 PM) there will be lots of goodies etc adn you can even feed me a foamy frie! Tee Hee! hugs, Jerimiah Ferretwise mascot, Ferret Wise Shelter www.ferretwise.org :) [Posted in FML issue 4077]
