Oh, MaryJo, do I have the thing for you! For those of you who went to Las Vegas, you may remember that there was an *event* at CJ s 24KT Shelter the night before the Symposium. This was an opportunity for CJ to take in several hundred dollars for the shelter, I understand. In conjunction with the Symposium, once more there will be a benefit dinner to support a local shelter. On Thursday, October 2, there is a social event planned. Dinner will be provided and will consist of an appropriate menu (except that it MUST contain beignets those little fried round sugary thingees per the ELF) for the occasion. Admission will consist of a donation to the shelter in the form of cash or needed items. ALL costs of the dinner are paid for by an anonymous donor so that the shelter is out nothing! It is total profit. Plans are in the works now. More info as it develops. Stay tuned to your regional coordinator for details. renee :) Publicity Coordinator International Ferret Congress http://www.ferretcongress.org [Posted in FML issue 4065]
