Several ferrets will be visiting me this weekend, and I need to know how to fend them off, if anyone does know how. I already have two, one is quite up there in years, and these 2 visitors are 1 and 2 years old, respectively. The more I think about it though I think they will cause more stress to the old Linus then they will help. He is a very gentle ferret, and loves anything, including the cat who has continually swiped at him for almost 3 years. But I think these 2 younger guys will run very stressful rings around him. I know Linus will not live much more than 1 or 2 years, tops, and I have been thinking I would like to get Ralph, his much younger cagemate, a friend, but I would like to get one Ralph's age and preferably through a shelter. So Ralph at the moment doesn't need to worry about being left alone. I had heard about these 2 ferrets through someone else who didn't have a lot of information, but had given me the impression their owner was desperate to get rid of them. But, it turns out that is not the case, and now that I have had several weeks to think about it anyway, I don't want to succomb. How can I stop myself??? Minta [Posted in FML issue 4051]
