Hello to all, I write this with some rather sad news. Nobody passed away or anything. My parents' littlest ferret Stevie went in on Wendesday. I had written last week or a little while before that saying that I had felt a mass in her belly. Found out that she did have an enlarged spleen for more than a few months. The vet said that she didn't HAVE to have surgery but that if she didn't, they had to make sure she didn't fall. Otherwise her spleen would very likely ruputre and kill her. Well she got the surgery this morning and is doing well. She's resting in her own cage. Well, the BAD news is is that I think my Grizzly might have the same thing. I had noticed a couple of days ago that she got really big fast. Felt her belly and she doesn't feel/look right. She looks like she feels like crap. I'm gonna see JUST IN CASE if I can get her an appointment tommorow. I hope she doesn't have the same thing Stevie did. That'd be weird. I think if that's what it is, my parents might wanna get everyone else checked. They said that Stevies spleen was as long as her and about an 1 1/2 inches wide. But as long as she's healthy that's all that matters. Well, now instead of my 4, I have 2 more added. The 2 had to be transfred to my cage so that Stevie could have one of her own. Now I'm really worried, poor Grizzly is the only one snoozing right now. Alright, I'll stop. It could just be her getting fat, but I really doubt it. We'll just have to see tommorow. I also have a question. We have one ferret (Johnnie) STILL will not except a few of the new ferrets that we got. She WON'T do anything but attack my 2 Brandy and Tazz. She also attacks a couple of the others one's and tries to litterally kill them. And she is the ONLY one we have problems with getting along with everyone else. Any HELPFUL suggestions would be GREAT!!!!!!!!! Thank you, and please pray that my Grizzly will be alright! Alison- George, Grizzly, Brandy, and Tazz... Spending a couple of nights is Marshall and Hunter. Doreen and Ken- (recovering) Stevie, Johnnie, Quest, K.D, Dannie, Doc and Laser. [Posted in FML issue 4045]
