Hello, I am a long time silent reader and have gained so much knowledge and love from reading all the posts. But now, I have a question for all those who have lots of experience. I have a 5 1/2 year female, "Fenway"(yes, named after the baseball park in boston). She was diagnosed with insulinoma 2 months ago and has been put on prednisone. At first, twice a day everyday. Now, it is once a day. She had responded well, symptons disappearing. But now I have noticed that she is experiencing them once again. My question: I will consider surgery and have an appointment this week for blood glucose test and ultra sound. What will be the expectancy of life for the little one? Is there success and better quality of life? I would like to know before I put her through this surgery. She already had adrenal a year ago and was so pitiful. Thank you all for your enlightenment, experience, and stories of hope and love. A lover of all animals.... Leeanne and little "fenway" You can also email me personally if desired...
