Hi All, Little over 3 years ago my son moved back in with me. He also moved in 2 ferrets. I told him to keep those stinky furry snakes away from me. In those 3 years my son has moved in and out twice now but my ferrets have not gone anywhere. Their names are Bruno, a big beige boy. At least he was beige. Just recently he went through a massive a shed which at first I thought that he was going adrenal but after doing a lot of reading it seems he is going through a shed. He had that kiwi feel to him for a while but now his coat is very soft. Before his coat was coarse. Also he changed color. Went from the beige to a gray and I swear his coat sparkles with silver. A very active boy always begging for snacks, raisins, banana chips, and pineapple parts. My girl s name is Spunky (small brown sable, very dark) and last year she went adrenal. At first I had no idea what was going on. First thought it was the change of kitty litter I was using. Went from clay to the scented because of cats I inherited. (Cats are really the stinky ones.) Went to the Silver Spring Wellness Center and met Dr. Kim (first name). It cost about $500 for the surgery and a year later she is doing great. All her fur has grown back and it s very soft. She is my favorite. She will crawl up on my chest and want to be petted and will rub her small head against my hairy chin. The only snacks she will eat are Cheerios and banana chips. She turns her nose up at raisins. I don t let my ferret s free roam but I don t put them in their cage until they have gone a sleep. The girl in my drawer and the boy in his tent by my dresser. I ll gather them up and put them to bed in their cage. I m so afraid that they will get out. Bruno has gotten into the basement twice now. I live in a 100 year duplex that we own. Once I found him waiting at the back door to get back in! It just tore my heart out when I read about Odin. I hope you get your ferret back. Spunky has gotten out too many times to count. Found her in the attic a couple of times and once on the 2nd floor porch going after the nesting birds. I keep a close eye on her! I thought about getting more fuzzys but the work involved in just 2 holds me back. When it comes time for me to get replacements or more I will adopt from my local shelter. My name is Mike Northern and I live in Milwaukee, WI and I enjoy reading all the posts. [Posted in FML issue 4035]
