I got a call today from a woman named Marla who needs to find a home for her two ferrets. She is doing this with great reluctance, but the family is losing their home. Her husband was laid off a year ago and has been delivering pizzas, and she is being laid off in 3 weeks. The ferrets are a male sable, Bandit, about 1 1/2 years old, and a female Sugar, about a year old and lighter in color. They are very social and friendly (Sugar was kissing her while we talked on the phone), good with children (the family has 3, ages 2-5), and good with dogs. They share a large cage that can go with them. Marla is not asking anything for them, just wants to be sure they get a good home. But I'm sure a small donation would be helpful considering their financial straits. If you can give a home to these two sweeties, please contact Marla directly at 440-960-5423, or 440-282-2628 (her mother's house). They also have a 14 year old blind dog. They know if they take her to the Animal Protective League, they will just put her down. A home for the dog would also be appreciated. Linda Iroff Oberlin OH [Posted in FML issue 3984]
