There are still 19 kiddos' on the regular tree- 2 on the bottom of page 7, and the other 17 on page 9. I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS. It's already December, just pick one- they are not asking for a thousand dollar cage, just a simple Christmas gift. If your baby ended up in a s helter, how would you feel if no one cared enough to send him a package of treats and a toy? Or a soft blankie? I get the feeling from some people that I talk with that they think these shelter mom and dads are cashing in somehow- this could not be farther from the truth. Most of them have 50+ to deal with. That means medical, food, vet, housing, cleaning, maintenence, and usually at least one, mostly 2 jobs to support all this. These shelters end up in debt up to their eyeballs. Of ten there isn't alot of time or money to buy treats and toys, and alot of cuddle time. These are not animals these people went out and decided to get on a whim- they aren't personal animals at all for the most part. These are animals that will never be as lucky as yours, they are castoffs that no one wants, for the most part. These shelters are dedicating their lives and finances to making these little creatures as happy as possible. Can't you help with just a small gift??????? There are still 20+ left on the ADV tree, as well. WHY? ===== When you get a chance to be nice to someone, take it: everyone is hiking uphill. [Posted in FML issue 3985]
