I couldn't help but chuckle at Todd's post about the tiny tool kits. He is right though. If any of you are considering ferrets but haven't purchased yet be sure that you aren't too deeply tied to any material possession. They know which things you treasure most! We finally splurged a year ago and bought a new sofa. Now that my kids were grown and moved out I finally bought an expensive one and even paid extra to have it Scotchgarded. I adopted a new ferret and within weeks he'd tunneled through the sides and stored all his treasures up in the back after destuffing it. Next ferret I adopted decided to use it for a latrine and he had diarrhea at the time. Do you have any idea how embarrassing it is to be entertaining company and have your sofa pass gas! We took out our beautiful oak trimmed sofa, burned it as there was nothing left of it by then and even steam cleaning couldn't get rid of the odor. We bought a $75.00 well used sofa, moved it in and they completely ignore it so all is well again. We decided we'd rather have ferrets than furniture any day LOL Laurel and the five furry homewreckers [Posted in FML issue 3867]
