Ferrety hugs to all, and especially those who are grieving the loss of a beloved fur friend... The past month has been difficult - Ragamuffin, my oldest and a rescue, died peacefully in my arms, several weeks ago. That same week Frolic, my tiny troublemaker ended up having a serious vaccine reaction - $$$ for ferret ICU. Two weeks ago, Freckles, the "mumma" of the group (in charge of ear washing) went in for adrenal surgery. Other than a funny hairdo, she's recovering very well. More $$$, and worth every penny to see her wardance again. Now, how to pay off the vet bills? Anybody have any sources for black and white line drawings of ferrets? I'm a silversmith, and could certainly create some ferrety jewelry to sell on ebay. Would appreciate hearing from anybody with line drawings, or ideas, that might make interesting jewelry! Ferret related, kind of... The wonderful guy I've been dating told me that, as a young man, he hunted rabbits with a ferret. He had not yet met my fur kids, but was "convinced" he could teach them to hunt. He showed up several weeks ago with a bunch of daisies for me, and a pink floppy stuffed bunny for the ferrets, and proceeded to roll around on the floor with them, trying to entice them to "attack". They had more fun trying to crawl up his pant legs! Sadly, I have lost my wonderful friend Norm - I was to go on a picnic with him last Sunday, and instead found him dead at his home. Needless to say, the furkids and I are pretty shattered by it. Hug your fuzzies and your friends - each moment shared with them is so very precious....
