Hi, I posted the other night about my Wriggley and his kidney problems. Well, as it turns out that was the least of his problems, he gradually was getting worse, very weak, couldn't stand at all. Repeat blood work indicated mild improvement in kidney function so the vet knew that something else was going on. An ultrasound was done Fri morning which revealed masses in his pancreas, spleen and the bad kidneys. There was also possibility of involvement in the mesentary. (Necropsy bore these findings out as well as involvement of the lymph nodes and early indication of liver involvement) We helped him cross the bridge yesterday morning, so Sandee, please introduce Wriggley around. Make sure he catches up with Sabrina and Pepper so he can tell them all the news of home and that their Mommy loves them and misses them. He never knew Pepper but he did Sabrina. Hopefully they will get along better there than they did here<g> Make sure he finds the ferratone falls and the cherrios. Two of his favorite edible things. My Wriggs was quite the clown, he loved to engage his Mom in play, he would run up to me and jump at my feet with front paws high in the air. Then the games would begin, either in the Express store sack, a favorite, or a tee shirt. He loved to steal socks and would go to great lengths to steal the mouse pad from the computer. His favorite spot for sleeping was on the trundle of the day bed. His cagemate, Zoey, misses him, as do I. My favorite vision in my mind's eye is of him popping his head out from under the dust ruffle of my bed, with mischief in his eyes, looking for something to get into and he usually found it. He truly is a ferret among ferrets. He is a true asset to the community of ferrets waiting for us humans at the Bridge. I know this is long but wanted to share with all the caring folks about my great guy who lives on in my heart. My thanks to those of you who responded to my previous post asking for help, I truly appreciate your kindness.
