I am very pleased to say that one of the suggestions I was given to get Russ to take his meds worked beautifully. I really thought I had tried everything but dumb me overlooked such an obvious method. The Prednisone he takes is in liquid form and pink. Smells darn good too. I put the 0.5 cc he gets twice a day in some Ferretone and he lapped it up. No more forcing his jaw open. Scruffing that ferret did no good at all as he pawed at the syringe and knocked half the liquid all over me. So now he is a happy ferret and taking his meds. He is also looking so darn good weight wise and actually went into the 25 foot play tunnel yesterday! I was surprised to see this. Come September he is going to get his surgery. I am probably (95%) sure I am flying to Wamego, Ks to have a ferret expert do it. I have to check flight prices and more then this see which airline (Delta I believe does) will let me take him into the cabin with me. Cargo is O U T!!! Rusty sends his best to all of you for caring about his we lfare so very much. I will keep everyone updated on his progress and keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery after surgery. He sure is a fighter and has endured quite a bit. Rusty also says to check out his brother Ranger's pic as he made Pet of The Week at The Dook Ranch's website. It was a day of celebration for my household as the ferrets were all applauding Ranger. Also, if you have not checked out that absolutely gorgeous afghan Kat has up for auction to benefit Troy Lynn PLEASE go to her site and check it out. As usual Kat outdone herself. That woman is definately the Michael Angelo of the afghan world:-) Dooks to you all. It is nice to have my household 'normal' in regards to my ferrets health once more.
