Got a call Sat. morning that Ben had to have additional surgery and it was already done. Apparently he was feeling a little too good too fast and he developed a hernia over night. So anyways they went back in and repaired the hernia. So the other veterinarian that did the surgery (Dr. Purcell's day off) called as we where just heading out the door to pick him up. Luckily she caught us in time , not that I would mind spending the time waiting for Ben shopping in Boston-then again I never mind shopping. But I digress, so she told me everything that had happened and to wait on picking him up until later in the day. So after a long discussion on how to keep this recovering much too active patient well we made it home around 5pm. So I am happy to report that he is resting well with a few extra bow ties on his belly! So tonight with baby monitor at the bedside I will sleep with one eye partially open. The stress of their surgeries is really tiring ! Give all your babies a kiss and enjoy them completely God Bless, Lisa & her 24 paws [Posted in FML issue 3878]
