Wanted to pass along our most recent experience in Pietinkieville! Our very youngest fuzzbutt - Stormin Norman - right at 1 year old, has always been the "life of the party". About a week and 1/2 ago, he suddenly all within one day, became very unactive, just wanted to lay around, not Norman at all! First thought he might have a hairball, so gave him quite a bit of hairball remedy. Not the problem - felt his tummy and felt something that was not right. Well to make a long story short - after seeing two vets and several tests, it was confirmed that Norman had a very enlarged spleen with cancer cells in it. This past Monday, Norman had his spleen removed, and his vet said that it was almost the size of Norman! So far, Praise the Lord, he is recovering fine and already is more like his oldself again. One end of his spleen was very bad looking, and so that section has been sent off for biopsy. I have had to learn very quickly that a spleen is something that can enlarge and cause problems very quickly. Guess this part is a commercial - but if you live anywhere around the Lancaster, Ohio area or surrounding areas, Dr. Neil Bonham of the Lancaster Animal Clinic is GREAT! He is my "kids" special doctor who is truly wonderful! Also, he cares for skunks as well! God Bless each and everyone of you and your fuzzbutts! Missy and the Pietinkieville Gang from Ohio!
