I have kept my keyboard shut, but now I feel compelled to type about..... If you know me you're probably saying,"oh crap what is she about to do now...." ....... Medical issues such as not drinking, not eating, bleeding, vomiting, lethargy, hind end weakness, seizures, not being able to urinate or poop, are usually signs that something is seriously wrong with your fert (it actually is with any animal or human too). Especially with ferrets, because of their size and metabolism things happen very fast and they can be gone in less than 24 hours. If these thing are occurring with your pet or someone else's - it needs immediate veterinary care! Please don't wait for the FML to get posted in the middle of the night and all the next day for a response. Not even on the FHL. Only a trained professional physically looking at your babe can make the quick diagnosis you may need to save you little one. Please - folks on the FML are not vets. We are just lots of everyday folks with ferrets and other assorted manageries. We can tell you what happened with our pets, as it relates to post veterinary care, but we do not take the place of veterinary care. Look at it this way, if it were your child, your mother or whomever you care about most in the whole wide world - wouldn't you get them medical care immediately?
