Hello, Thanks everyone who gave me numbers and such for ferret vets. Ok, my one ferret Calvin, the oldest one, I'm guessing hes about 3 or 4, someone dropped him off at my job, he was already an adult. I work at a small family owned pet store, which thankfully is a good pet store. We sell ferrets, unfortunately, I would prefer we didn't, and am trying to persuade my boss to not sell them. We only carry two at a time though, so thats a good thing, and they are well taken care of.. Anyway, back to Calvin, he went through his shed, and has lost a lot more fur than I think he should have. He gets ferretone and furovite, ferretlax. He looks a lot smaller, and his fur is very rough. Any ideas? I have a regular vet, that is pretty ferret knowledgable, but I want to take him to a specialist if this is serious. He plays and acts normal, and he eats normal and poops normal.. so I'm not sure if I should be worried. I know fur loss on the tail, can mean bad stuff. Hes not balding, his fur is just thin in some spots and only since he's shed. His fur is mostly thin on his feet. I'm stumped. -Teal [Posted in FML issue 3820]
