Oh yes, it does a heart good to see a city actually take action against a Pet Company Giant. This is going to be a very public hearing. All the TV stations are carrying this case. The were even trying to sell a moldy and quite dead tortoise for half price ($35). Such shame and arrogance. This is San Francisco, and at times like this I am actually glad ferrets are illegal here (But only times like this, mind you.) I am in horror of what they WOULD do to ferrets. Where money is more important then life and even common sense, what are these people thinking? But, thank the lord, poetic justice strikes again! I hope it causes them to change disgraceful policies at all their stores nationwide. In honor of this I want to release a cartoon I did a couple years ago of a group of ferrets marching and picketing in front of Petco (I am adding Petco now). They are carrying picket signs that say things like "Let My People Go" and shaking their little fists. [Posted in FML issue 3819]
