Shelter list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list/files/FML-shelter-list.html or you can get it through the FML. I can't recall quite how it's done. *****BILL?***** Think that you write GET SHELTER in the text of the note nad send it to [log in to unmask] [Moderator's note: It's GET SHELTER LISTS but you were close :-) BIG] Nancy, right now we have a group like your's in that a lot is going on health-wise, but that is not always the case. We've also had times when ferrets have been mostly healthy. Sometimes there are biological reasons for clumps (like happens so often with lymphoma) but sometimes it's just bum luck. Sorry that's been the case for you. They sure do necessitate learning about medical things, though, and the more a person learns the better off the ferrets are, as you've said in the past and know well. >Does anyone have a list of "ferret-friendly" vets in the U.S.? Go to the above files site in the first paragraph http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list/files/FML-shelter-list.html and also to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ferret-Health-list/files/FerretVets.html http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc and http://www.ferretcentral.org and it's links Also, do a websearch and find STARFerrets for its list. I expect there are others. Many, perhaps most, of these are actually international listings though most listings are for in the U.S. If you are in California go http://geocities.com/sukieslist and see the two sites that have vet content and are listed for California info since these can help you. It is always useful to know how to find vets; folks move, vets leave, there are vacations, etc. Heck I did a quick search. Didn't look to see if this the page with the vet listings, though, so trying clicking in it: http://www.thepetproject.com/starferrets.html [Posted in FML issue 3772]
