In my state FL, there is a law, statute 828.29 that states "All dogs & cats offered for sale must be at least 8 weeks old, have an official State of FL Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by a veterinarian, have proper shots, (all shots) & be free of intestinal & external parasites." I am wondering if someone could find out if this might include, or if there is another one for other animals that require rabies & distemper shots, especially ferrets? I simply don't have the them to do it myself. I am down to about 2 hours of "free" time that doesn't include the 4.5 hours of sleep I get at night. I am usually only online line long enough to download mail & read some of it & maybe write a letter or two & that is it. With all of the talk about getting state laws changed to stop the sale of ferrets under 8 weeks old, I was just thinking that maybe some other states have these laws already in place for other animals like dogs & cats, that could include ferrets, & maybe we just don't realize it? Maybe they are somehow slipping through the cracks so to speak? Please if there are any replies, post to this list & not me privately. I try very hard to include the reading of this list in my free time. (*~*) Lynn & Clan War Weasels [Posted in FML issue 3799]
