OK guys, I think I may have a plan for a quilt to raise funds for our rescue kids vet care when needed. Rather than my making a quilt for a raffle or e-bay auction and taking the chance it might not appeal to a lot of folks, so not much money is raised, I've developed plan B. Some of you know what *Memory* quilts are, for those that don't, it is made of photographs of people/places/anything we like, transferred to white or off white fabric squares, framed picture style with fabric of any color desired and made into a quilt any size wanted. My plan is to take custom orders from you, you supply the photos of your fuzzies, or other if desired, I'll do the rest. Or, for those that wish to be more involved I can tell you how to get photo onto fabric I'll supply. Just need a printer, special paper, and a special setting agent. At first this made a rather stiff fabric photo, with today's products they feel just like nice soft fabric. You get a quilt you like/want, the fuzzies get some $$ to help them out. I've yet to come up with a $$ amount to make this doable, still thinking. I'll need to cover my expenses, plus a bit for my time, the rest can go into a vet/vets fund??? Open for ideas here, don't wish to do anything you all don't approve of. I'm setting aside the month of November, part of December to do this. THINK CHRISTMAS GIFT! Tell me what you think.
