A while back when I lost Luna, I can remember later reading a quote at my vet's office that made me feel somewhat better when I was questioning why these guys don't get to stay with us any longer than they do. Well, I was in the vet's office yesterday and found it again. It is by Sir Walter Scott and I have replace the word "dog" with "ferret". Here goes. The final cause of ferrets having such short lives....is inthe compassion to the human race: If we suffer so much in losing a ferret after an acquaintance of 6 or 8 years, what would it be if they were to live double that time????? I wasn't sure what to put in the place of life span so I put 6 to 8 yrs, who know?? I also had a so called friend tell me after losing Luna that she didn't think animals went to heaven "because they don't have souls" Well, I also found this that helped where that was concerned---- For the soul of every living thing is in the hand of God. Job 12:10 Also, check out item number 2008568635 on ebay. It is a sailor dress and hat I made for a girl ferret and the money will go towards the fuzzy kids' medical expenses.
