Hi all, It has been a long time since I have posted here on the FML. I have been kind of hiding. After the loss of two close ferret friends in VA I have kind of been in slump. Although I know that the reunion at the Rainbow Bridge was something of a colossal scale, it is still hard to not be able to talk to our friends, both human and fuzzy. I left truck driving 2 years ago and I will graduate with my Associates Degree this April. I am going to be moving to the Ogden, UT area on May 1st. I have been offered a full-tuition scholarship to Weber State University and so I will transfer there to pursue a Bachelor's Degree. To my surprise, I have found a number of apartments that will allow me to have ferrets, with a deposit of course. However, I would really like to find a basement apartment in a house. If anyone knows of anyone in Ogden that is looking to rent out an apartment that is attached to a house please let me know. I am looking for a place to live for a couple of years and have found that the best places are usually those apartments that are attached to a house, opposed to actual apartment complexes. As for my kids, they are doing as well as can be expected. Billy has insulinoma and is on dexamethazone. It works well to control the insulinoma, however it now appears that he has Lymphosarcoma. He had surgery from Dr. Weiss a couple of years ago, in which his left adrenal gland was remove and a portion of his pancreas. He is now about 6 years old. Due to his medical history and his age, I have opted to not have surgery done. I have told him that as long as he is doing well and want to stay, that I will help him as much as possible. However, once he is ready to join his brother and other friends at the rainbow bridge, I will help him cross. Doris and Abu had surgery, where both were found to have cancer on both adrenal glands. Doris and Abu had both of their adrenal glands removed. This was back in November. They are now both doing wonderful. They have both grown a full coat back and neither one is on any meds. Klondike, Chance, and Cutie are all doing well with no health problems. I will offer a prayer for all of those kids who are ill and those who have recently crossed.
