Ummm hmmmm... yep... you've got a problem... not the one you think you
have though, lol.  What you've got is a ferret that can pull the wool
over your eyes!  The cure is to get "one up" on your fuzzy.
 
Ferrets very seldom like ANY new taste.  They imprint very early on what
"food" tastes like and consider any other taste the equivalent to poison.
 
Offer a dab of ferret lax on your finger several times daily, smearing it
on his mouth & gums if he won't lick it after smelling of it.  He WILL
eventually decide the taste is something edible.
 
In the meantime, scruff close to the ears, WAIT until he yawns.  He WILL
eventually yawn, then squeeze the ferret lax into the ROOF of his mouth
(to prevent possible choking).
 
About the only thing ferrets do the first time without training or coaxing
is turn over the trash can.
