I just wanted to say a huge congratulations and THANKS to Alicia and all the others who have worked with her to change the legislation in New Hampshire so that ferret kits under 8 weeks of age may not be transported or sold--that's an enormous step towards better care of those tiny little fuzzies going out into the world for their first time. It's a very encouraging start towards changing the practice of shipping and selling such young ferrets, because once distributers/breeders have to start accomodating the laws of one state, business is easier for them if they standardize their operations so that all kits are shipped at the same age. Yay for you guys!!! Regina [Posted in FML issue 3659]
