crossposted / listed notice: Attention ferret advocates- VETERINARIANS & FERRET OWNERS!!!! VETERINARIANS- it would be beneficial if you would forward any acknowledgement that you see health problems with newly purchased kits that might not be present if they were older at time of sale! A NH bill will be presented on Jan 9th. This bill will call for the age of sale of ferrets to be moved to 8 weeks of age ( up from the 6 week current age of sale). Please Help in NH ( and hopefully this will extend to outlying states) by emailing us accounts of legitimate health problems and conditions ( PLEASE include vet contact information -- on the veterinarian who examined your purchased pet) from the current early age of sale. ALL USDA rated canine distemper vaccinations CURRENTLY state AGE OF VACCINATION AT 8 weeks NO 6 weeks. If you had distemper exposure problems please let us know! AS well as any other health problems that could be related to the young age of sale. We will be most appreciative of any reports whether it is in state or out of state. Please be sure to report date of purchase, location and what the problem was. Also you name & address ( phone if possible) to make the report credible. The more input we have the better.
