I attended the show on Sunday with some of my ferrets - I entered 13 of my ferrets and 3 of those were just for a laugh really as I knew they wouldn't do anything. Neelix, a 7 month old hob kit, weighed in at 6.25 lbs, (He's just off to the vet today to be castrated.) the other two were Neelix's sisters B'Ellana Torres and Seven. Lulu was placed 4th in Veteran - Phoenix came 1st and also won The Hobbit Cup for Best Veteran. Cameron one of my other veterans won it in '96. Scully and Kira came 2nd in the Working Pair. Tuppence won The Racing Challenge shield - not bad for an old lady of 8 years. I was awarded The Dick Nutt Memorial Trophy for my work in ferret welfare. Just in case anyone is interested in who Dick was there is a memorial section to him included on the NFWS web site. -- Sheila Bolton Ferret Welfare & N.F.W.S. News Editor. NFWS.
