>Has anyone had any success scraping tartar off of their ferret's teeth? >My vet won't attempt it unless they put my ferret under and I'm trying to >put that off unless it's neccessary. > >Also, has anyone had any success with Nature's Recipe Tartar Control >treats? I'm going through the same thing!! I have one ferret with lots of tarter and five others heading down that path. I want to treat the one and PREVENT the others. My vet will not do a thing unless he puts them under also. I don't want to do that. I also think it is VERY overpriced just to clean teeth (I've checked around for prices here and even abroad,,, he is about average in prices). The one that needs treatment is an older and verrrrrry calm ferret. It would only take two of us to hold him aboslutely still. But he won't. Meanwhile I have a friend that says their is food that is dental kind of food I can try for them all. But I don't know the name of it or where to get it. I've not seen any such said food at The Ferretstore. Meanwhile I'm in search of this food, and I have considered getting the dental tools myself online... but I have no one to teach me how to do it in person. So I'm stuck.
